March 2008Blacks Visual Merchandising
Blacks Visual Merchandising provide award winning design and installation of shop window displays and in-store visual merchandising to blue chip high street names, this year (Christmas 07) achieving the best shop window on Oxford Street.
Historically the brand operated from two separate companies, being Blacks London, owned by Jason Greenbaum and responsible for the design and relations with the customer, and Blacks Wetherby which was owned by Richard and Susan Black and provided the production and installation.
For personal reasons, Mr and Mrs Black wanted to exit the business. With the help of BlueSky Corporate Finance, Jason Greenbaum, along with Anthony Vilarrubi have now consolidated the whole group under their common ownership and are looking optimistically to the future.
The deal was funded by Richard Gandy of the Co-operative bank and legal advice given by Leeds firm JBL Law.
For my partner and I working with BlueSky made a very complicated and difficult deal move effectively and simply. The guys at BlueSky guided us through the unknown waters of producing a detailed business plan and pitching ourselves to the banks - as well as suggesting potential funders, putting us in touch with tax advisors and generally giving us the confidence to get this deal done.
