2007Britannia Food Ingredients
Britannia Food Ingredients has consistently polled in the top 50 fastest growing companies in Yorkshire since it began as a green field start in 1996 by Phil Nash and John Barnes. Their core business is the supply of fats and oils for the large chocolate suppliers and their purpose built and bespoke unit makes them more than able to compete with the big boys of this industry.
Following the sad death of John Barnes, BlueSky Corporate Finance assisted Mr Nash and the minority shareholders with the acquisition of the shares held by John's estate.
This was a highly complex negotiation and took over two years to complete. RBS provided the funding and legal advice was given to the company by Hull firm, Rollits.
Time can be at a premium when managing a growing business while at the same time re-structuring the share capital. BlueSky's played an important role over the two years of negotiations in bringing this complex deal to a satisfactory conclusion, even arranging meetings before 7am to fit in with the Management's busy schedule.
