BlueSky primarily specialise in providing corporate finance advice for management teams and companies wishing to acquire businesses valued between £2 million and £20 million.
Our company prides itself on its proactive hands-on director led service which has contributed to the completion of six deals in the last six months.
Although not mutually exclusive we can offer two services to our clients:
Deal led approach
Given our extensive nationwide network of contacts, BlueSky is introduced to numerous MBI/trade acquisition opportunities on a weekly basis. Prior to the involvement of our client we scrutinize each opportunity by:
- Reviewing the financial and commercial history of the target company
- Liaising with vendors' advisors to establish price expectations and timescales
- Liaising with potential funders to ascertain whether there is an appetite in the market to finance the transaction.
By adopting this approach, opportunities which are presented to our clients are vetted and consequently stand a better chance of leading to a transaction.
Client led approach
BlueSky has extensive research facilities which when complemented with our client's market intelligence can lead to the identification of potential acquisition targets which are not currently marketed for sale. Our service
entails:
- the building of an acquisition profile
- the financial screening of potential targets
- targeted marketing
- the sourcing of financial and commercial information
This approach often circumvents the conventional auction process that manifests itself in companies which are publicly marketed for sale.
Services to corporate financiers/brokers
We currently have an MBI client bank of circa 130 of which we are proactively working for 30 across a broad range of sectors. Our assurance to fellow corporate financiers and brokers is that we do not adopt the square peg round hole mentality when it comes to introducing MBI teams to transactions. BlueSky's philosophy is to introduce the right client, in terms of expertise and experience, to the right transaction. Not only does this help from a credibility perspective but also significantly increases the chances of securing the funds to facilitate the deal.
We are also currently retained by a number of trade acquirers looking for bolt-on acquisitions in the following sectors (this list is updated on a monthly basis):
